DinləWith the financial support of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the project "Social support for girls and women with visual impairment" is being implemented by the Public Union of Disabled Intellectuals of Azerbaijan.
Within the framework of the project, 8 girls and women with visual impairments were given training on self-care, hygiene, housekeeping and cooking.
Through training, those ladies were taught how to make hot and cold snacks, salad and sweets, ironing, small sewing, preparing tea and dinner tables, as well as the rules of food etiquette at the table. Psychologists and social workers involved in the trainings held discussions on social issues with visually impaired women and provided them with moral support. Culinary educator Gunay Mammadov, who is completely blind, conducted the training.
Gunay Mammadova, who completely lost her sight many years ago, fully integrated into the dark life conditions by working on herself and as a professional educator who was successful in a number of projects in the culinary field, provided practical support to the ladies participating in the trainings.
