A celebration was organized on January 13 for children with visual impairment and disabilities under the age of 18 living in Sumgayit.
The holiday event was held in conjunction with the Social Support for Persons in Need of Care Public Association (SSCPA) and the "Azerbaijan Society of the Visually Impaired" Public Association, and by order of the Social Services Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population within the framework of the project "Organization of New Year's celebrations for children from families in need of special care (with disabilities under the age of 18)".
Children with visual impairment and their parents participated in the holiday celebration.
The celebration was organized specifically for families from the Sumgayit region. Each event was prepared in accordance with individual needs for such children and fully appropriate conditions were created for them.
One of the memorable moments of the event was the show program presented by various fairy-tale characters. The children felt the New Year spirit more deeply by watching the live performances of their favorite fairy-tale heroes.
Fairy tale heroes raised the children's spirits with their cheerful and colorful performances. The fairy tale heroes also organized special games and competitions at the celebration. The children both had fun and actively participated in the games and competitions.
At the event, well-known singers and musicians further cheered up children with visual impairments and their families with their performances. The musicians strengthened the festive mood with musical numbers they presented to the children in a specially accessible form and gave the event participants a real musical pleasure.
Special gifts were presented to each child at the celebration, and they were given various educational and developmental materials, as well as fun toys and technological devices.
It was noted that such projects and events aim to ensure that every member of society has equal opportunities and to enrich the lives of children with special needs.
