Dedicating 50 years of her life to the education of visually impaired children, A. Ashimova's students work at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University, 11-year music school No. 38 for visually impaired children, Republican Boarding School No. 5 for children with disabilities and other scientific and educational institutions . According to the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated October 5, 2021 on awarding honorary titles to educators of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ashimova Afet Nazim was named "Honored Teacher".
