"Manual labor is a source of life" project

On November 15, 2022, the Public Union of Disabled Intellectuals of Azerbaijan completed the "Manual labor-source of life" project with the financial assistance of the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In cooperation with the Society of Visually Impaired People of Azerbaijan, UB organized trainings for women and girls with visual impairments on how to build an online business. The trainings were held at "Boarding school No. 5 for children with limited health opportunities" and at the Society of the Visually Impaired of Azerbaijan.
During the project, 10 women and girls were trained on planting, cultivating, decorating and selling flowers. During the training, the trainer Naila Agcayeva, a professional specialist in floriculture, taught the art of floriculture to visually impaired women and girls, as well as organized the sale of flowers online through social networks. At the same time, the persons involved in the training were taught ways to obtain financial resources by joining the "Self-Employment" program of the State Employment Agency for the development of their chosen profession.
