AN EXAMPLE OF HEROISM

On February 1, 2022, the Azerbaijan Society of the Visually Impaired launched the “Example of Heroism” project with the financial support of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The project will be implemented within 6 months. The main goal of the project is to introduce to the public people who lost their sight during the battles for Karabakh and to pass on their heroism to the younger generation as an example. Within the framework of the project, a meeting was organized by the President of the Azerbaijan Society of the Visually Impaired Samyar Abdullayev on 02.03.2022 at 11.00 in the battles for the defense of our lands, together with the visually impaired and their families. During the meeting, information was gathered about their fighting prowess and heroic memories. At the same time, it is planned to study the existing problems in the field of adaptation, integration and habilitation to society and raise issues before the relevant agencies in order to solve the problems. It is planned to prepare a booklet "Example of Heroism" authored by Simuzar Agakishiyev about our heroes who lost their eyesight and lost their eyesight as an example of heroism, reflecting the information and memories of the meeting.
The book will be published in audio format in Braille and in large font to ensure that every visually impaired person living in the country can read it freely. At the end of the project, the book will be presented to the general public.
