AAZERBAIJAN SOCIETY FOR THE VISUALLY DISABLED XVIII CONGRESS

On 29.12.2012, the next 18th Congress of Az GAC was held in the conference hall of "Sahil Baku" hotel.
General activities of the Society covering the 5-year reporting period and action plans for the next five years were discussed at the congress.
At the congress, the President, Board of Directors and members of the Assembly were also elected for the next five-year period.
The event was announced by S. Abdullayev, president of the Public Union of the Visually Impaired Society of Azerbaijan, with a speech.
          S. Abdullayev introduced the meeting participants with the general activity and financial report of Az GĀC covering the years 2017-2022. S. Abdullayev noted that during these years, Az GAC has signed a number of important projects in the direction of solving common problems of visually impaired citizens, such as employment, unemployment, social adaptation, lack of housing conditions.
S. Abdullayev also noted that as a result of the negotiations with the relevant institutions, the development and implementation of a number of important state programs in the direction of the integration, inclusion, education and socio-economic life status of AzGEC citizens with visual disabilities in the modern world was achieved. In his speech, the president of Az GAC also noted that the investigations conducted by the relevant authorities showed that Az GAC is one of the most reliable, legal, transparent, constitutional justice and humanist organizations operating in the Republic. He also stated that, as a result of the negotiations with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population in order to solve the most urgent problem of the visually impaired citizens during these years, more than 500 visually impaired families were provided with housing conditions with the Agency of Social Services under the Ministry of Education and Culture, and in the next five announced that he has started the implementation of projects that will meet the housing needs of the visually impaired family at the annual event.
     The head of the society announced the figures covering the total financial turnover of Az GĀC for the years 2017-2022.
         At the end of his speech, S. Abdullayev expressed his gratitude for the special care and respect they have shown to all the ministries and relevant state institutions that have a special role in the development of the Society.
         S. Abdullayev also expressed his deep gratitude to Honorable President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for their special attention to the socio-economic well-being of visually impaired citizens.
Also at the congress was a personal initiative of the Azerbaijan Visually Impaired Society and A.R. The screening of a short film covering the life and battle of the veterans who were blinded during the 44-day Patriotic War was also held with the authorship of the idea of the actress of the Young Spectators' Theater.
The congress continued with the election of the next five-year leadership of Az GĀC and ended its work with the announcement of the decision of the congress.
Samyar Abdullayev was elected as the chairman of the AzGEC for the next five-year term
At the end of the congress, a banquet was given to the congress representatives.
